I am currently packing and training preparation for the final three World Cups of the season. The Spring World Cups are always unpredictable because everybody is tired from a long racing season. That also means they are good opportunity for good results.

Summary of the 2007 World Championships21.02.2007
When I look back at the 2007 World Championships, I sigh. My sigh is mostly in relief since I was able to pull off some pretty good results.
Going into the World Championships I had been struggling to get my skiing shape off the ground, and was not as consistent with my shooting as I would have liked. The final weeks of preparation was a furious amount of work which paid off. read more |

The life of an athlete is tough. Every day is committed to training, which means other commitments in life often get pushed to the side. I traveled all around the world, but have seen little of it except for the hotels I stayed in and the things I saw while training during training camps and competitions. Since I spend a lot of time in hotels, I have experienced what makes them good and bad for an athlete, and naturally have a favorite, which is the Hotel Schneeberg in Ridnaun, Italy.

At the beginning of this past October, I had one of my most important training camps skiing on the Dachstein glacier. While the camp allowed me to get on snow early, it is also was a chance to compare my shape against many of the top skiers in the world. I found my shape was pretty good, but I used every bit of energy I had getting in as much skiing as possible.
