A solid start to the season. - 04.12.2009

Everything is going according to plan. I was hoping for a solid performance to start the 2009/2010 season, and I got a solid result. I am a little upset about my three prone shooting penalties, though, which was my glaring weakness in the race. My skiing was strong and my standing shooting was perfect, and that gives me confidence that I will be able to do well in Saturday’s Sprint race as well. The important thing for me is to gradually improve my shape up to the Olympics, and I feel good about my starting point.
Congratulations to Tim, who set the bar a little higher on the team with his 2nd place. His result improved on Jeremy Teela’s 3rd place World Cup finish in the 20 km event in Vancover last March by one place. All that is left now is First.
