Oberhof World Cup - 06.01.2012

The next set of World Cups has begun here in Oberhof, Germany. This is always a great venue because it has such a huge amount of spectators, over 100,000 expected for the races. The weather can be difficult, as it was in the relay yesterday. A snow and and wind storm made conditions very difficult. Unfortunately some of the wind blew in my ears and made me forget how to shoot well, and I had to suffer a few loops which is a terrible feeling with teammates waiting to be tagged. Still, I learned and look forward to the sprint race tomorrow. The Sprint race is very important since I am very close to qualifying for the Mass start. Although I am ranked 30th right now, only the top 25 directly qualify, and then 5 'Wild Card' spots are given based on the Sprint race results, so a good day is crucial.
